Get ready to bring your favourite characters to life! The Kawaii Market invites you to participate in our spectacular Cosplay Contest. This is your opportunity to showcase your unique cosplay creations and compete for fabulous prizes. We welcome participants of all skill levels – so whether you’re a cosplay veteran or a first-timer, join us for a day filled with fun, creativity, and community spirit!

Contest Rules
- Admission: Contestants will receive free entry to Kawaii Market on Saturday.
- Registration: Pre-register or sign up on the day (subject to time slot availability).
- Costume Preference: Handmade costumes are preferred.
- Photo Consent: Agree to allow Japan Market to use images for promotional purposes.
- Event Rating: This is a PG-13 event. Please avoid inappropriate content and materials.
- Props and Safety: All props/weapons must be checked in for safety.
- Cleanliness: Avoid materials that are difficult to clean (e.g., glitter, confetti).
- Age Requirement: Contestants under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Compliance: Adherence to rules is mandatory; non-compliance may lead to disqualification.
Judging Criteria
- Stage Time: 2 minutes to showcase your costume and character.
- Prize Categories:
- First Prize: Best Homemade Costume (90% self-made).
- Second Prize: Runner Up (Best Overall Costume).
- Third Prize: Judges’ Choice.
- Each prize winner receives:
- $20 coupon from Sakura Media
- $20 of Japan Market money
- Japan Market tote bag
- One Prize Rule: Each contestant can win in only one category.
