Frame Art

Inspired by the traditional Japanese Ichimatsu pattern, which symbolizes eternity and prosperity, this Frame Art blends timeless design with authentic Japanese craftsmanship. The intricate Kumiko work reflects the beauty of traditional woodworking techniques passed down through generations in Okawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture — a region celebrated for furniture making for over 500 years.

Each piece is more than interior décor; it carries wishes for lasting happiness, prosperity, and harmony. The reversible black and white backboard allows the artwork to complement a variety of interior styles and atmospheres. Carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans, every piece showcases the warmth and uniqueness of genuine “Made in Japan” craftsmanship that cannot be replicated by machines.

Cermamic Mugs

As a traditional Japanese good-luck charm, Daruma has become a symbol for prayer and to strengthen the heart. The Daruma doll was made into a “MINO DARUMA MUG™ using the skills of Mino craftsmen.

Water-Repellent Pad Printing
This technique uses a silicone pad to precisely print patterns on curved surfaces such as mugs. Furthermore, the use of water-repellent ink creates a subtle texture on the surface, creating a three-dimensional finish. This decorative method has a long history of use in Mino ware.

Matcha Bowl

“Kissako” is a Zen Buddhist term. Originally meaning “Go drink tea and wake yourself up,” it was used to rebuke someone’s laziness. Today, it expresses hospitality, meaning “Please have some tea.” It can also refer to the act of drinking tea itself.

The Mino region, blessed with clay deposited in the ancient Lake Tokai approximately 5 million years ago, has sustained a rich pottery tradition dating back approximately 1,300 years. We create vessels by blending inherited techniques with the craftsmanship of skilled artisans, all in gratitude for Mino’s clay.

Tea Cup (Yunomi)

This yunomi series combines the craftsmanship of Mino ware with classic Japanese-inspired designs.
Blending tradition with new charm, it has been crafted into a piece that reflects the essence of Japan.

Water-repellent printing creates a textured surface for a tactile design.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to discover authentic handcrafted pieces that are hard to find even in Japan. Drop by FAM.’s booth at Japan Market to eperience the beauty of true Japanese craftsmanship.
